On phone so sorry for spelling errors in advance. Saw Miami and clear. Glad I saw both. Miami had more energy but the rarities at clear were sweet. Bob Dylan and not fir the season. Just sick

no break at clear to setup the small stage. Band us really peaking right now

I will have more notes when I get back to my real computer

Saw the same shows and I completely agree.

Awesome! Thanks for posting the complete one! Man, these shows look nuts! I can't wait for Friday.

(Mods feel free to modify my messed up setlist, or delete the post or whatever. :) )

LAMINATED CAT! (Or is it "Not for the Season" when played by Wilco?)

I considered it to be Laminated Cat - like the version Jeff and Glenn played when they toured together back in '06 or whenever. The "acoustic"/stripped down set blew me away. Full band Bob Dylan's Beard was amazing, as was Spiders. :wub Even though this setlist was heavy on the new stuff, there were a lot of gems in there that I was thrilled to hear.

HOWEVER, the crowd was the worst I've seen at any Wilco show, with the possible exception of London (sorry Andrew and any other Brits who may have been there). Not to resurrect the sit vs. stand debate, but this was really lame. About 5 of us in my row stood for several songs but finally caved from the pressure of the people behind us. Only when Tweedy suggested we stand (about 2 hours too late, IMO) did they all get up. Sigh. It's WILCO, for crying out loud!

Anyway, I loved seeing them as usual. I wish I could've met up with some other VCers, though!

Is it like the Teenage Wasteland v. Baba O'Riley debate?

For what it's worth I call it Not For The Season all the time, because I love that phrase. It's occasionally my favorite Wilco song.

Had I been blindfolded when John sang a portion of "Thank You Friends," I mighta thought Alex Chilton had risen from the dead. They all sounded great, but John was a ringer. Really cool to see Jeff/John/Pat share the vocals on that one.

So how is Spiders acoustic? I've never heard it live and no it looks like my first time is gonna be acoustic. Can't say I'm too stoked

I've only heard Jeff do it solo, but it's really beautiful. Definitely slower and mellower than the electric crescendo-building version. There's nothing quite like the energy of hearing Spiders live, I won't lie. But I also really enjoy hearing the acoustic version. Just think of it as a different song altogether and maybe you won't be disappointed!

See I'm completely sick of the 10 minute version of Spiders and have found myself longing more and more for the old mellowed-out version. Here's to hoping we get a full version of it in Chicago before they put it away for good...

Great setlist. I assume this was the acoustic portion? Some great songs in there...

Agree, the past two nights set list were very diverse. The kind of setlist I have been hoping Wilco could produce. I am jealous that I decided not to but tickets to this tour. May have to try to find a couple tickets to the Pittsburgh show!
