One of the riffs in Walken goes something like this:

I'll try and figure this whole riff and the other ones as soon as I get the chance.

I also believe that Jeff uses a different tuning when playing this live with Wilco. He tunes the low E and A strings down a step and plays this riff.

Apparently Jeff's part is actually a bit more complicated, but this is the main melody. If someone has this from the solo acoustic version, that would be very cool

The riffs are great "jhc" the first one that you posted is off this is the way I'm playing it right now.

I realized that in my previous post, I had this riff ending on the 4th fret of the B string. It's actually the 4th fret of the G string, which is the same as your B string open. Seems like we're playing more or less the same thing here.

I watched the video clip of Walken from ACL today - Jeff definitely doesnt go above the 3rd fret during this part.
