I've already informed my family that I have no interest in speaking with them about anything other than baseball between 7 pm and whatever time it is when Papelbon strikes out the last Yankee batter.

He'll have to walk by me to get from the pen to the mound!!!!!!! All pizza will be thrown by that point!!!!

Is it too late for you to get a slice of pizza tattooed on your ass?

Then you could just throw your ass at people.

It might be too late for tonight's game, yeah. I could buy a slice of pizza at the game though, and then instead of eating it, throw it at Bobby Abreu.

If you were somehow able to put a slice of pizza in Abreu's cap and put said cap on back Abreu's fat head I would send you the full contents of my PayPal account (close to 20 US dollars).

The latest news is I'm considering stealing Yankee rightfielder Bobby Abreu's cap, taking it to the softserve line, convincing the softserve girl that his gigantic cap is actually a little plastic one and getting her to fill it with a chocolate/vanilla twist, then returning to my seat and throwing a piece of pizza at Abreu.

EDIT: No matter what, Abreu's going to be drenched in pizza and ice cream consistently throughout the game tonight.

Has anyone here ever had sex with Bobby Abreu? If so, what's his codename?

Refer to Abreu as "Sheffield" during heckling the entire night.

Oh, that's awesome. I had been trying to rhyme something with 'Abreu', but you've got something there.

Has anyone been able to experience the Fenway surround-sound this year from home? I'm just wondering if it enhances the at-home experience significantly. They're the only ballpark currently doing it and I don't have the set up for it but might consider it if it indeed kicks ass.

I haven't heard about this.

They've placed microphones around the inside of the park (I know there's one in center field at the base of the wall) and the idea is that you get the live on-field sounds of the game.

The Marlins are now awful!

I blame the fact that EVERYONE is injured and that Jorge Julio is the worst person ever.

Cabrera is now injured. I think we are starting Aaron Bleepin Boone tonight..

Whoever is managing that team must have been on angel dust to call that bunt play. That Dutch kid looked like he had good stuff.

Miguel did it on his own because his back is hurting him. Shouldn't have been in the game, may have hurt it in the previous inning.

The Dutch kid is pretty good, reminds me of like a Josh Beckett-lite.

I wonder how many more starts Chad Durbin gets before we see Zach Miner. Only 1 run given up so far today, but this is the first time this year he's made it through the 3rd having given up less than 4. So...yeah, I don't have much confidence.

Fruitbat is gotten to in the 8th. Yankees give up 5 runs in the 8th.

Mr. April's two homers all for nothing in the end.

Whenever I see Slappy high-five the first and third base coaches with his enormous gloved hand while rounding the bases for a home run, my mind flashes to the Hamburger Helper guy.

He still wouldn't be a "true Yankee."

I'm gonna guess his pacei s going to slow down.

But anyone who has ever questioned if A-Rod could make it in New York is an idiot. Last year was by far his worst season, and he was still a top 10 or 15 player in all of baseball. I really don't like him, but he is an unbelievable talent. I'd have him on my team in a second.

It really blows my mind how frequently NYC writers talk about how he can't cut in New York. In 2005 he was the AL MVP, which is (at least theoritically) the best player in the league. Last season he as also great. He's the biggest baseball talent in my lifetime, including Barry Bonds (who, although I hate him, is also incredible).

I think you'll need to put that sentence in to the past tense....one isn't going to hear much more of that talk in NY. As I said last year, and since they signed him, this guy is never going anywhere.

Good game last night, despite the outcome.

durbin looked pretty good last night despite the two home runs. the first one he gave up the guy next to me started yellinmg to yank him and i told him that was the first hit he gave up. the guy just continued to be little durbin. i do think that they probably will end up bringing up miner sooner then later though.
